error running Data Input Tool for multiple CMAQ netCDF files

Hello,

I have downloaded and installed on my Windows laptop the Model Evaluation toolkit Version 4.0 (I also installed R 3.2.3).

I am running the Data Input Tool, using CMAQ netcdf files as modelled data.

The problem is that the tool works fine for a single CMAQ file. But when I choose to run the tool for a number of CMAQ files in a directory and I set the path (no matter how many files, the tool crashes even for 2 CMAQ files), same problem, the tool crashes and I get the following error:

Importing modelled data...
Importing modelled data pollutant details...
Error in R_nc_open: No such file or directory

I am guessing the error might be related to ncdf library, which is deprecated in R, and I need to use instead RNetCDF or ncdf4.

So I installed package ncdf4 in R (64-bit R version 3.1.0 for Windows) but that did not solve the problem. For some reason R crashes and I get a message in a separate window that says:

R for Windows front-end has stopped working
